Biographical information:

Since school, I've been... I served one tour in the Navy including one year in Vietnam. I graduated from Gerogia State University with a Bachelors degree in Urban Life Land Development. In the 70 I worked as a Land Use Planner for the Fulton County Planning Department in Atlanta, Georgia. In the 80 I managed an ashalt paving company and started two companies of my own. In the 90 I worked for Cherokee County, Georgia, in Roads and Bridges as the Road Superintendent and the City of Canton, Georgia as the Director of Planning, Zoning and Development as well as the Director of Streets, Parks and Transportation. I retired from the City of Canton in March of 2005. That same month I started to work for Gilmer County, Georgia, and the Director of Public Works. I left there in 2007 (retired again). In 2005 I created D&L Enterprises, a small development consulting firm and in 2007 I created Hobson Creek Pottery. I always wanted to try my hand a pottery and now I have found my lifes passion.....Pottery. Check out my website www.hobsoncreekstudios.com.

My family: Im married and have two daughters and three grandchildren

My favorite things in school: Sports and the final bell to go home.

My favorite things now: I spend most of my time in my shop (studio) turning and handbuilding pottery. I also enjoy spending time with my Grandchildren

My favorite books, movies and music: Action movies, all music...but Old Country the best.
